Living alone in my comfortable apartment with my cat is something that I find a lot of happiness and contentment in. I appreciate the quiet lifestyle by myself and the freedom to spend my time each day in whatever way I choose. I am blessed to have family very close by, as well as good friends who I stay in close contact with each day. Those connections take different forms. I enjoy the times I get together with any of the people in my life and share a cup of tea or a meal together, and I also enjoy the meaningful connections through text, email, calls and FaceTimes that I share with those I love.
It’s nice to have all those avenues for connection with others, and I realize that I am blessed with all the wonderful people who are part of my life. I also acknowledge that not everyone enjoys those same things. Some people are alone in their lives more than they want to be.
We all need to feel not alone and connected to others. One of the good things we all share in this present time is the fact that our connections can take many different forms. When I started writing this blog, I was amazed to see people all over the world visiting this site and reading what I have shared here. In that, I felt a global connection with others that I had not experienced before, and it was a good feeling.
So here is an invitation to anyone who would welcome it – connect with me. Make a cup of tea or coffee, sit down and spend some time reading some of the things I have shared on this blog, and then write down some thoughts and feelings of your own. That action alone can truly have an empowering and healing impact. Please share any of your thoughts and feelings that you want to in the comments here. And please know that I will read them and appreciate the fact that you chose to share and connect with me. Know that in choosing to connect in that way, you are not alone.
I hope you enjoy some meaningful connections with others today!
