The Beauty of the Wind

It’s a beautiful day today.  Some blue sky with a lot of big white clouds, sunshine and some wind, but it’s warmer than it has been lately. I was sitting with my tea, enjoying my morning quiet time, and I was watching the wind blow through the trees outside my window.  I watched one of the big evergreens, its branches moving and swaying. The whole tree seemed to move with the wind.  And I thought, I bet that feels good to the tree.  I bet the tree feels clean from the wind moving through it and blowing away any debris. i bet it feels refreshed from all the movement and the abundance of air and oxygen it has been fed.

And then I thought, I want to feel that too.  So I went outside by the tree, and I stood there in the wind.  My arms outstretched, my eyes closed and face turned up to the sun, turning in a slow circle as I felt the wind moving over me.  It was really lovely!

The whole thing was a wonderful experience for me. One I’m grateful to have had. People driving by and seeing me doing that probably thought I was a crazy old lady.  And I realized I’m fine with that. It really was a beautiful experience, and I hope I inspired at least one person to stop and just experience the beauty of the wind!

I hope you enjoy the beauty of the wind today!
